For a concealed 357 mag I like my 686+ with 2-1/2" barrel. Some consider it heavy but it's what I like for shooting 357 mag.
RUGER SP101..............for 357 Mag
Only you can answer that question, what works for someone else may not work for you. If I were going to carry a .357 I'd go with a Ruger SP 101 with 3.5" barrel in a IWB holster.
Since you said pistol, my favorite size is the Glock 32 (same as the G19). Easy to conceal, full hand grip, and tremendous power. My G33 is harder to control with the short grip.

For many years my carry was my Glock 33 with extended magazine footplate.
Also I have this extra for the Glock 33. The .357 SIG barrel is directly interchangeable with an OEM .40 S&W I bought for cheaper practice ammo. It only thing needed to change. Magazines hold .357 or .40. Like we can find either ammo to buy at the moment :)
I have now switched for routine carry to .380 LCP but at home my Glock 33 loaded with hollow point is always at the ready.
So I would suggest the Glock 33 with extended magazine footplate for additional hand grip benefit.
Glock 33 .357 SIG plus .40 S&W barrel for most of practice. Keep loaded with .357 SIG hollow point for home protection.
RugerLCP .380 equipped with Crimson Trace for everyday carry.

If you add the extended mag floorplate, the grip is the same size as the G32. Why not just get a 32 and have the benefits of the longer barrel? The tube is not the hard part to conceal.
Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll treat you worse.
