Sig 226 Elite - Nitron Finish or All Stainless?

Found a new Sig 226 Elite, Nitron Finish, and put it on hold. Question - how does the Nitron finish hold up compared to the all stainless version of the Elite? On Sigforum some say ok, and some say not so good. The Nitron finish is 8 oz. lighter than the all stainless, but still weighs 34 oz. with the mag. Don't want to purchase a Nitron finished Sig and watch it slowly deteriorate. Any experience out there? Thanks.

Wish I could offer some insight on your finish question, GP... but I'll tell you this, I could flip a coin and be happy with either, I believe...

I've owned a few SIG over the years, and personally prefer the Two-Tone... both are very good and will stand up very well if you treat them with care... I've never carried my 226 in a holster, so it in excellent condition... I've done the same with my Nitron Finished SIG 239 with only limited holster use and sold that in very good condition... they hold up very well.

I thinks it is all personal preference. I prefer the all nitron finish because I like my guns in all black.
