    Next purchase?

Not really a carry gun question.

Want something new. Have several Glocks, a couple of Sigs (DA/SA), Kahr PM9, 1911 in 9mm. Ruger GP100 .357 revolver and .38 special j frame. My 1911 is my nicest handgun. I have carry weapons covered. No interest in a S&W 500. Have around $500 cash and can add some to it. But, not an additional $500.

    Suggestion on an autoloader?

    Suggestion on another revolver?

Another thought is a HD shotgun with higher capacity than my 4+1 870 Express with 18 inch barrel.

Sounds like you have it covered. Save for a AR or a AK.

How about an HK? I really like the new HK45 compact. Or how about a cowboy style gun? sorry, no model/names, don't know much about them but I think it would be great to have one.

My favorite "just cause" gun is my Ruger New Vaquero 357 magnum. Extremely fun and cool to fire.

How about a stainless Ruger Redhawk in 44 Magnum. Just think of it as the GP100's big brother.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Got to have a good .22, handgun or rifle. I'd like to pick up the carbine version of this American Tactical Imports

My first thought was a Saiga 12 but that can go well over your limit after all of the mods, mags, etc, you'll want (trust me, I know).

How about a nice .22LR gun? I picked up a Browning Buck Mark SS Camper, 4 extra mags (5 total) and an Ultimate Cliploader for under $500. If you have any extra $, load up on ammo. Now you're talking some good, cheap, range fun. I'm taking my 12yo daughter out this weekend to start out with the Buck Mark. Can't wait. She's excited too.

I forgot to add that I have a Browning Buckmark Camper and also have a number of shotguns and rifles.

The dedicated HD shotgun is a possibility. I'm building a varmint AR15 to keep my AR15 carbine company.

Consider a lever action in .357 and for fun, add a mag extension to your 870.

I second a .22, my preference is a .22mag revolver. This way its a great target shooting piece, and a decent BUG for SD.

I would highly recommend the the Saiga-12, which is a Kalashnikov-pattern 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun. Since this is a magazine fed shotgun, your only ammunition limitation is how many magazines you have loaded and ready.

The Saiga-12 is truly a nightmare for a home invader or INVADERS.

At least you won't have to call for time-out to feed the tube of your 870.
