    Tell me about Glock 36's

So, I am not a Glock person. Usually I carry a 1911, and if not a S&W 638. I don't tend to shoot glocks as well as I do my 1911s. However, the G36 has always held some appeal for me, and I saw the thread a little while back about cheap prices for active duty military on Glocks, so I've been heavily considering getting one while I'm on leave. Anyone have any input about these little pistols? Anyone wanna talk me out of it?

My 36 was my EDC until I went back to a wheelgun.

I personally do not own a Glock 36, but have fondled it in the past. I have heard a lot of good things and a few bad things about it, but it would definitely make a good concealed carry gun. I believe it is also Glock's one and only single stack pistol.

No I can't talk you out of it because it is a GLOCK!

The one bad issue that I heard was that there was too much space in the magazine well for the magazine to fit snug, and that caused malfunctions. Those were earlier ones and I have not seen or heard anything bad about the latest models out on dealer shelves now. So I say go ahead get one, I don't think you will ever regret it.

I say get one. I was a 1911 guy until I had to switch to Glock. I hated it at first, but I gave it some time and an honest try. I do just fine with them now.

The only bad thing I have to say about them is there is no version in 10mm.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you go back to the wheelgun.

I'm headin to my favorite gunstore (which is a LE dealer) tomorrow, with a chunk of deployment money, and have a few things in mind I'm trying to get, I'm definitely gonna fondle one tomorrow, and see what I think with one in my hand.

It just seems like such a compact package in my beloved .45acp, so I'll see what kind of deal they can make me.

It's what I originally trained with about a thousand years ago. I'm just more comfortable with them. My EDC is now an SP101 and occasionally a J frame.

Don't let that put you off the 36. I have full confidence in it as well.

    Nope!

This gun feels amazing, and shoots even better. The G36 is my EDC.

I don't get out of bed without my G36. Easy to conceal, recoil not bad, I have Pearse +1 mag extentions gives you 7+1 and is dead on.

Can't try to talk you out of it. Just got one myself last week. If the XS sights made it today, I will take pics after I install 'em.

I have the Glock-36...it's my 'Harley' gun...I really like this sidearm...accurate, an easy shooter, very easy to conceal, the best grip of all the Glocks IMHO...never a problem.

Get it, and you won't be sorry.

The G36 is my CCW. In fact, the opportunity came up a while back to trade a "safe queen" for another G36, and I made the trade. So, I now own 2 of them. Buy it you'll like it!

To me, the benefit of the Glock is the capacity. If you're a 1911 guy, why change to a gun harder to conceal that carries the same amount of ammo?
