Question .22lr conversion vs. .22lr pistol

I like to shoot my Glock 21 (.45acp) as often as possible, but I don't want to break the bank shooting twice a week. I also shoot a RugerMkIII, but obviously it is not the same as practicing with the G21. I have been researching and I am just not sure which is going to be a better use for my $$.

My question is this (and is for any one who actually uses or has used a conversion kit):

Are there any serious cons to using a conversion kit for the Glock or should I just buy something that more closely handles like the Glock?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

I purchased the .22 conversion for my G30. Glad I did, as it gives me a chance to become very familiar with the trigger on y Glock. It is lighter, and I should have gotten moremags, but I holster it and practice 100 or more rounds with the .22, then change back to .45 and run a few more (all from holster). It is a big help in creating a memory in the hold of the firearm also.

I got one for my 1911. IMO, a 22.LR conversion kit is the best aftermarket accessory for any gun.

I was thinking along your lines and I was wondering about a .22LR conversion kit also.
I ordered it a short time back and was told it would be 8-10 weeks.
Well just today, short of 3 weeks, UPS just delivered my Advantage Arms .22 caliber conversion kit for my Glock-26.
    We'll see how she goes...

How accurate are those kits? Could they be used for small game hunting?

    Accuracy...

I've got some Wilson Combat kits that are made for them by Marvel. I kept one for myself & shot it for the first time last weekend. It's super accurate. I had a Kimber unit before that & was disappointed in it's accuracy.

I have photos of the Wilson Combat units on my website if anyone is curious.

I have a Browning Buckmark and a Ciener conversion for my Hi Power. The Buckmark is more accurate but the Ciener stays on one of my Hi Powers and I use it regularly for practice. It is basically identical to the Hi Power that I carry while the Buckmark is close but still different. The Ciener is one of the best investments I have made in a training tool!
