Just curious. I am going to make the switch to a 357/.38.

Don't know why exactly.......it is just calling me.

Any opinions, or comments? Sign of the times?
    I tote a Glock 22 at work and a 3" stainless GP100 off duty.

Hello. Yes, much of the time my carry gun is a revolver or a couple of them. My 24/7 gun remains a Model 642 loaded with Remington 158-gr. LSWCHP +P but when it assumes the BUG role, the belt gun is frequently this SP101, now loaded with Corbon 125-gr. DPX +P. The one speedloader I carry is loaded with the same .38 +P ammo I use in the S&W and works in either revolver.

I like my S&W 696 5 shot 44 spc or my S&W 624 6 shot 44 spc I also have a S&W 629 that I will carry in the woods with magnums or specials on the street. My S&W 610 with 10mm gets the call sometimes and a 642 as a BUG.

In the summer the big wheelies will not get the call as often because I don't like the heat so I change my carry when the weather gets hot. Usually go with a Sig in the hot weather.

Oh and at 6'2" 230lbs I can easily conceal a large handgun or small shotgun/rifle. So carrying a wheelie may also depend on your size, how much weight you don't mind toting, your equipment and mode of dress.

In the summertime, I'll carry my S&W 640.

642 all the time in my pocket. I have no problems with the wheel showing. I keep it in a pocket holster.

    I carry my S&W model 66 3" quite a lot.
    It's a fine accurate revolver.

While my BHP is my primary CCW piece, I use a J frame in a paddle holster for a quick throw on ,don't want to be bothered/don't have time to holster up the BHP carry piece.

Or, If I'm going somewhere where I can't carry inside, it fits my glove box with less rearranging (read removal) of the usual contets than the BHP.

Normally its one of my 1911's (S.A. Micro preferred) but i initially bought a Taurus model 85 ultralight 38 for ccw duty.
but as was said it was a "natural progression" of things when i got into the 1911 "scene" for caliber and capacity.
but i do still love my lil snubby. 100% reliable fer sure.

This is mine. That is yours.

    Lets keep it that way.

Another primary 642 carrier here. I have found it going with me nearly all the time because of how easily it slips into a pocket.

Reload strips seem to be very hard to come by though, and I refuse to buy a round speedloader, so I am limited to 5 shots. So far, that is 5 more than I have needed thank goodness.

If anyone can PM me a source for speed strips, I would appreciate it dearly.

Thanks for the link! Just didn't want to junk up the thread with a diversion. All the people I have talked to locally said they had been out of production for 10 years..

I figured I was looking for a Unicorn. Ordering a set now, thanks again.

Smith and Wesson Model 37 +P, However with things getting more and more terrible everyday I am really thinking about carrying my 1911 everyday. I don't know. One thing about wheel guns is you have less chance of a failure, so you can bet that whenever you pull the trigger she is going to go bang. However, you do suffer in accuracy if you don't practice.

    Wink Revolvers

    Always two, usually three.

    For the past several months, a 329PD, a 296, and a 642.

At times the 329PD gives way to a 1911.
    Keep the shotgun handy!!
