.22 mag revolver, BUG, and cheap trainer.

Anyone use a .22mag revolver of any type for SD? Im planning on getting one for a BUG, and training and plinking. So I figured I'd see if anyone else on here has done this also. Im thinking either a NAA blackwidow, or a Taurus 941. So any thoughts?

Of the two, I would go with the NAA.
    Shot placement is key.

JMO I'd go with the Taurus. Being bigger it would be easier to shoot more accurately. And it carries 9 rounds.

22 mag ammo is a fair amount more expensive than 22 lr. I pay about as much for 22 mag as for 9mm at Wal Mart (about $9 for 50 rds). IIRC, the NAA 22 mags let you use 22 lr in them if you buy the cylinder. I would go that direction and use 22 lr for plinking and then 22 mag for SD.

I have the little NAA .22LR. I don't know if it's much of a SD firearm other than a 'put it in yer' eye' up close, but I guess that would work.
    For 2 C-Notes+, I'd get a little KelTec...a little more useful.
The last Blood Moon Tetrad for this millennium starts in April 2014 and ends in September 2015...according to NASA.
