Beretta PX4 Sub 9MM...what's the good, bad and the ugly of this gun??

My dealer has a Beretta PX4 Sub 9MM for $559. I handled it and it is a good fit and with 13 + 1 mag that has a flip down floor plate to catch the pinky on. Anyone own this gun? What are your recommendations? It's not to fill any particular "need" other than I like the looks and feel....and to scratch a gun buying itch.

I have one. Nice smooth shooting little beast. A little large, if you are wanting it to be a pocket gun, though.

Not really a sub-compact; but I think it's a great looking gun and a lot of thought went into it's design. Darn, I'm a little itchy too...

Very accurate, nice to shoot, easy to carry IWB and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the gun.... I sure like mine. I don't like the decocker, but I decock it .. then turn it off when carrying. It has shot every type of ammo I've thrown at it, no problems what-so-ever.

That's a good price on one too. I'ld grab it.

I have been looking at them too. I have the CX4 carbine in 9mm as well as the 92FS. I bought them as a matched pair with interchangable 15rd magazines and the both eat up the 20 round clips as well. I love them both and I think Beretta does an overall excellent job. A lack of quality is never an issue. The PX4 looks like it may be a bit thick for my taste. Capacity is always a good trade off for thickness. I imagine I will have one in the not so distant future

This is one of my favorite carry guns, it is accurate and reliable. The Type C DAO should be out soon.

The gun looks cool. But unlike it's big brother, it's barrel does not rotate. And that is a big selling point of the standard size PX4. I was disappointed when I looked at the compact. But is does look cool.

be careful buying one of these. a buddy i work with has one got it brand new and out qualifing with it dropped a mag to do a mag change and it broke then dropped the second one and it broke as well. when he called berretta they told him that they would not honor the warranty due to excessive ware on the product.
