I feel a bit silly even posting this but I am just to excited about this purchase!
Yesterday I was at the range and saw one I just "had" to have!
S&W 1911PD- Black, alloy frame, ambi safety (thinking IDPA here), P rail...
It is a beautifull gun and shoots like it should (still tight though after only 50 rounds). Later today I will throw another 500 rounds through it and when I am 100% confident in it then I may just carry it a bit. It will be my new comp gun as well as bedside friend
Anyway...I just had to share my latest purchase.

Thats a nice gun; I'd be excited too. But I wouldnt be so excited to forget club rules and not post pictures.

Sorry, I should have waited till I snapped a few pics...here you go (not fancy or anything but still mine)

I think those SW 1911 have some of the nicest fit and finish of any out of the box 1911 out there. Very nice...now you gotta buy some good leather. LOL

If it wasn't for that obnoxious warning label it would be spectacular. Shame they have to do that... Nice Pistola though my friend. Congrats.
Yes, I care! I have the identical gun, and it makes me wonder what all the fuss is about some of these 2 and 3 thousand dollar 1911s. The S&W 1911PD seems to do it all. My only complaint is that it's very difficult to rack the slide; or maybe I'm just too weak. And what a great trigger! I tried a lot of 1911s before purchasing, and this one just seem to feel right at home in my hand.
I think it looks great. An it even has a rail. It would be a great home HD weapon, especially with a small light on that rail.
