Nice. The 10mm is a hoss of a round. I like lots of guns, but if I knew I was going to be in a fight for my life (and I couldn't bring a rifle!) I would want a Glock, bar none.

$400 for a 3rd gen, with finger grooves and tactical rail? If so, that's an awesome price -- congratulations! Welcome to the Glock club. :)

I agree with SSS, MSGT, the price on the glock is a steal. get the hicap mags before the ban. there are still a lot oout there. I remember these mags costing 100 bucks per mag during the ban. enjoy the glocks.

Enjoy it! I got my wife's G23 sitting right here beside me as I type this. While I do love my EDC, sometimes it's nice to swap it out for something just little bit smaller, and that still has a very nice mag size.

That's a good price. IIRC, I paid about $500 for my G23 5 years ago.

Yeah that is a great price. I paid $539 for my 23 a couple of weeks ago. I did some trading so I wasn't out of pocket for much. So far I'm loving my 23. An added bonus is that .40 cal ammo is fairly easy to get here. I've been able to get plenty of fmj ammo for practicing at my local Wal Mart. It's cheap and they seem to get shipments weekly. It's a little tougher finding defensive rounds, but they show up occasionally.

I'm jealous of you Glock types’. My last Glock was the G36 and like an idiot I sold it! Now, I’m thinking of the G19 or G27 w/11rds, if I can only manage to get my little rat hands around it.

I fired 100 rounds through hubby's G19 today, and I still can't get excited over it. After shooting a couple mags worth I got used to the odd feel of the grip in my hand.
I fired fairly rapid, not quite fast enough to be considered rapid-fire but close. 28 out of 100 outside of the black
Most shots were clustered, but not good enough to me my standards,I'm glad I don't carry it!
I'll give it another chance and see if it grows on me and if I can get an acceptable performance out of it, and out of myself.
Meanwhile I'll stick with my wheelies.

+1, I love my G19, my 1911 has been stuck in the safe for 2 months & counting.

If you wanted to improve the grips on the Glock try the Houge Handall, its brilliant.

    A Glock Story:
When I got back into shooting a little over a year ago and for preparation for my CHL test, I joined the local range. I went the first day to shoot and all I had was a S&W Sigma 9mm. I asked owner what he thought about it and he said, no, you need a Glock 17. So I bought it and started shooting it and hated it. It shot to the left and I didn't like the recoil. Long story short, over the last year I have been through probably about 25 pistols, took some lessons, and am probably getting where I need to be. I looked at the last gun show at a Glock 19 and really liked how it felt and the price and availability of magazines. But I still remembered the time with the Glock 17.
Today at the range the owner let me try out one of the range guns, a Glock 19. It kicked butt. I could not believe it. I guess I have come full circle. Well lets see, anyone want to buy a slightly used XD, an HK, a CZ, maybe a Sig!!!
