Four to five mags is USUALLY the goal for my handguns. I only have one for my Kel-Tec though.

I have a bunch more mags than that for my AR. Lots of clips for my M1 Garand.

Six for my Glock 22, eight for my XD 45 compact, two for my
G 27 but it will except the G 22 mags also so plenty to go around.

It varies. I believe I have ten P229 mags, total, perhaps one or two more than that, but then, I have five P229s. Some came new with two mags, some came as pre-owned, with just one mag, and I bought extras. I have a couple of Mec-gar P226 mags I bought to use as practice mags for my P229s.

I have MANY 1911 mags, but only one 1911 at present. It has been seven years since I regularly carried a 1911. I am not going to dig the mags up and count them.

I have one spare Seecamp magazine.

The rest of my handguns are revolvers.

The correct answer is not enough.

For my carry gun, about 10. For my AR's, about 30. Everything else has a minimum of 4.

    Buck Mark-5 (10rd)
    PM9-12 (4 6rd/8 7rd)
    G29SF-22 (16 10rd/6 15rd)
    P226-5 (3 15rd/2 20rd)
    Saiga 12-10 (2 12rd/4 8rd/4 5rd)

I'm probably a little overboard on the PM9 and G29SF but I got a good deal on the mags. Can't hurt to have a few extra for more shooting and less loading at the range. My UpLula sure helps that a bit also.

I try to have 5 new unfired mags for each hand gun. Then I have two carry mags and two range mags.

The bare minimum that I try to maintain for all my weapons is 3 magazines. Since most handguns come with two, I try to buy a 3rd at the time of purchase or at least within the week.

6 each for my P2000 & USP. 2 of each are 10 rounders, for when I go to California; 4 for the P2000 are 13 rounders & 4 for the USP are 15 rounders.

I keep a minimum of 5 mags for each of my handguns. 2 of each are always loaded with SD rounds, so I can grab and go if I need to.

If you're going to carry one weapon, might as well carry two, because as the saying goes, "Two is one, and one is none."

I forgot to add that detail as well. Two are left with SD rounds for my G32 as well.
