Just bought a Glock 30SF *PICS*

I just bought my new carry gun, a Glock 30 SF. I just made a sweet appendix leather IWB holster for it and am waiting for my Mitch Rosen Tito's Revenge (Black cowhide with sharkskin trim) and Milt Sparks VMII (Black horsehide with sharkskin trim) to come in. I put XS Big Dot Tritium Night Sights on it and they are perfect; the best night sights I've ever owned. This is a fantastic piece - it's hard to beat 11 rounds of .45 ACP which expand to more than 9/10th of an inch using DoubleTap Ammo:

DoubleTap .45ACP (FPS / PENETRATION in inches / EXPANSION in inches)
185gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1225fps - 12.75" / .82"
200gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1125fps - 14.25" / .88"
230gr Gold Dot JHP @ 1010fps - ** 15.25" / .95" **

I use the 230 gr. 11 rounds should be enough to keep me safe until I can get away from the area

I'm going to bolt it to the wall in my bathroom and use it for toilet paper rolls...

If you have a 4 oz. gold bar laying around I may consider trading my Kobra Carry for it...

Nice Glock...Nice Ed Brown...I have a queston!

I have a couple of Kimbers, and a couple of Glocks...my EDC is a Kimber Ultra CDP (A Glock-36 on my Harley)...both are dependable.

Why do you not want the Ed Brown as your EDC...tired of 1911's?
It would certainly be a mighty fine SD weapon...

I would most definitely carry the Kobra Carry... IF I did not own a Glock 30SF. The G30 holds 3 more rounds with a lighter design, and I can shoot it with the same accuracy and just as quickly as with my Kobra. It conceals the same, if not better than the Kobra Carry does. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Kobra Carry, I just choose to carry the Glock 30SF instead. Besides, it would suck to have my $2.8k Ed Brown sitting at the Police Station after an incident. I wouldn't mind letting other people touch my Glock 30 because it cost me $460... the Ed Brown was more than five times the cost of my Glock 30... and that is without the Ivory Grips Glocks IMO are designed for combat and aren't "meant" to look pretty, while the Ed Brown has a beautiful design aesthetically and obviously has grips that are meant to show off and compliment it's sexiness.

Yes, the Kobra Carry is a might fine SD weapon!

The Glock 30SF is just more practical in my mind.

You should have held onto that 36 you sold. Then you could have taken the slide from the 36 and put it onto the frame of your 30sf. I was one day too late in buying that 36 you got rid of. I swapped the slides out as my holsters for my other glocks will fit the Frankenglock. Here are a few pics.
