83 Belgium Hi Power and love it. It is a dream to shoot. I don't carry it daily simply because I would cry for years if I lost it or got it stolen. I consider it the best gun made next to the original Colt 1911, which is the gun I first shot.

I will never sell it, you can pry it from my cold dead fingers.

    hehe...

    Thumbs up

Great pistols!!! Bought one in 77 and sold it in time of need. Bought another 1977 unfired model like the original for a ccw last year. Added a C&S extended safety and sear, removed the mag disconnect, had a trigger job done, slapped a set of Spegal grips and bought an HBE Com III holster for it. Put my minimum 500 rounds through it with 0 malfunctions and just couldn't bring myself to carrying it full time as it's the most beautiful pistol in my stable. Still shoot it and next to my H&K P7 it is the most natural pointer that I own.

This one will not be sold.

    Congrats on a fine weapon!

Sure do. These were taken before I did the mod's. I'll take more tomorrow wx permitting. Grips are much darker and my pics do not do this BHP justice.

My first handgun I was issued many, many years ago was the Hi Power, never had a complaint. Carried cocked and locked, a matter of preference, some can't get use to the hammer back, depends on your training and confidence levels.

how much would an original cost me also how much would a new one cost?

Wagglebee, I'm not a photographer but here are the shots with the mods. Forgot how well this HP fits my hand. Might break down and start packing it.

    Take care, SG
