This is a discussion on New Gun: Sig P220! within the Defensive Carry Guns forums, part of the Defensive Carry Discussions category; Hello. My name is Thomas, and I have a problem.
I'm addicted to guns.

Ever since I sold my Sig Sauer P220 (DA/SA), I've missed that gun. I sold it because I could never get the hang of the inconsistent trigger. That was a couple years ago. Ever since, I've had it in the back of my mind. I loved the way it felt in my hand. Very accurate, and the recoil was gentle for a .45. Today, I solved my problem! I brought home a P220R Carry SAO with night sights. For those not in the know, the Carry model is like a Comander size; full size grip with a 4"(ish) barrel. This is the first gun I've had with night sights, and I've got to say, they look neat in the dark. Don't know if I need 'em or not - I point shoot most of the time, but they certainly don't hurt. The single action trigger is very light and crisp. It breaks very easily. I haven't shot it yet, and probably won't be able to until next weekend . I'll write a review once I do. Anywho. I snapped a quick picture of it to tide everyone over. I'm back in the Sig Club!

Welcome back to the 220 crowd. Honestly I would rather chew off my left arm then sell my 220.
Honestly though, SAO?
DA/SA, P220 with nightsights. Truely a combat grade weapon.

I couldn't be more happy with a P220R SAO model. Welcome back to the club! That carry model looks really interesting. The full size works very well for me. Be sure to include a range update ASAP.

Congrats on your new SAO Carry. You have great taste!
It appears we have the same model [220BR3-45-SAO]- out of curiosity; does yours have an internal or external extractor?..and how many mags came with it? Mine has an internal and came with three. Have seen others with externals and came with two. If you did not already know; this is a non stock / factory government contract overrun. No idea if true, but the rumors are they were made for TSA and/or British SAS.
