Tampa, FL Gunshow 4/18/09
Well, I went to the Tampa Gunshow yesterday with the intention of finding a new Glock 33 w/GNS, and was able to get one. Only saw two other G33's, and neither had the Glock night sights. I also picked up a really nice Pro-Tech Godson as another carry knife. Let me tell you, the show was mobbed. I got there right when it opened at 9:00 AM, and I bet that there were at least 300 people already in line.
Ammo was scarce, and expensive. One guy was selling .380 reloads for $100 for 50. I didn't pick up any ammo, just ordered some online when I got home. I just wasn't going to pay the prices being asked on general principle.
Here's a picture of the new G33, and Pro-Tech. I plan to use the G33 as a CCW. Now, I need to order up some new gunleather. Already have a belt from The Beltman ordered.
Glock 29 10mm; Glock 33 357 Sig; Smith & Wesson 642 .38 Special; Smith & Wesson 627 .357 Magnum; Taurus 24/7 Pro .45 ACP

I sure hope nobody paid that ridiculous amount for .380 cartridges. Unfortunately, there is somebody out there who has been looking for months, or just bought a .380 and REALLY wants to shoot it that did pay that price.
I am sure that as long as somebody is willing to keep paying it, the prices will keep going up.
Enough of my rant...CONGRATS ON THE GLOCK!

Thanks on the Glock.
No, I didn't see reloading equipment/powder. I wasn't paying particular attention, but I didn't see any brass, primers or bullets.

I went to the gunshow at Hampton, VA, today. Wasn't a very big venue, but it seemed to me the turnout was pretty good. It also seemed to me there was ALOT of people there who were new to the gun scene. Lots of people were asking lots of questions and guns were going fairly briskly. Good thing if you ask me.
I was looking for an MK40 and a good range bag, but just came home with a few stickers.

Erich:
Congrats on the new Glock! I was going to go to the show for only one reason....I was going to pick up some primers, and possibly powder. I was glad to find out the "powder lady" ( a little old lady that sells only powder and primers at the show) wasn't there since I didn't go to the Tampa gun show.

I too went to the Tampa show on Sat. All you saw were sales tables with pistols, rifles, etc. The people at Shoot Straights table were packed in, but there prices are RIDICULOUS! You hardly saw any ammo. outside of exotic ammo in the corner. People were mobbing the place like mad, and a lot of people were purchasing CCW badges at the booth by the front door. It's kinda scary to see how things are going and the direction of society in my opinion. I no longer buy pistols at this show, or any Sun Coast show. I will just go to University Gun and Pawn in Tampa and do my business.. I did walk out with a Condor tactical backpack, and Fenix Flashlight for a decent price though.
Congrats on the G33, and knife though. They are a nice combo. Be safe!

Glock27/ KaBar TDI/ MTAC Holster. I have more also, but this combination works well..

Nice 33. That's my next Glock as soon as I find a deal on one. I skipped the show this weekend. There's basically no deals left to be found and I'm not fighting that crowd (especially with my 12yo daughter). Getting some more 10mm from Georgia-Arms was mainly all I was planning on going for anyway. I already have a bunch so I can order more from the website and by the time I run my stock down some, it should be available and delivered to my door.
