I got my first 220 DA/SA yesterday. It has become my favorite gun, I am very impressed with how accurate I was with it.

    I also have a P226 DAK and a P239 DAK.

It was between the Sig and an HK for me, and after thinking about it I went with the Sig since its a gun I have wanted for awhile now. I still plan on looking at an HK45c too, which was also highly recommended on SigForum. But I could not find one locally, and Sig has a promotion going on right now for a free tactical flashlight and paddle holster with classic sigs.

Do you have any other Sigs?

I first bought a Sig232 in .380, I could not believe how accuate and flawless its function was. Next P229 in 40S&W...same as above. Newest is a P220 Carry Elite SAO in 45 ACP...I sold my Kimber Pro CDP in 45ACP for my newest Sig.

Sig definitely has reliability....last time I shot one I just didn't like the way it felt in my hand. That's definitely very personal...I happen to like my HK USP 45c a ******* lot.

Seems nice...I would probably use it as a HD gun. Don't forget to follow up with a range report!

I carry the Sig P-226 which is the P-220's brother available in 9mm, .357 SIG, or .40S&W. It is the most accurate pistol I have shot short of a fully custom 1911. I concealed it for several months and it was always 100% reliable when shot. The only problem is it's size. Sig 220's and 226's are massive weapons. You might try the Sig P-220 compact or P-220 carry.

I have had this SIG P220 for years and it has never once had a problem of any kind.

I carry it regularly in a well made paddle holster and take the necessary precautions to conceal it well. Great carry gun.

I have CC a full size P220 and P226, both with no problem. I even have CC both at the same time. Also my sig p220 is 16 years old now, the p226 is over 25 now. Neither has had a weapon caused malfunction, as in it either was ammo that was bad, or a magazine that was damaged or wornout.
I know not what this "overkill" means.

As you can see my by user name, Sig in my opinion is the best of the best, I carried a P228 in law enforcement for many years, I now carry a P229R, to me the cost is justified by the reliability.

The 220 is among the best of the best, it is my choice for a duty gun, but it is a big gun. It would not be my first choice for CCW.
