    I want a new gun!

I was looking into replacing my six shoot..

But due to the magazine limitation, I don't want to spend to much money. The less the better actually, but it has to go bang every time I pull the trigger as well.
As I seem incapable of finding it online myself, does anyone know what the price is for a Beretta 92 in California? How about a Springfield XD 5' Tactical in California? How about the Glock 17 as well? Would it be cheaper to buy it online?

I know the Ruger P series goes for around $400 and SR for around $600, but then i might as well just buy a Glock, right?! Taurus sells a Beretta copy, 100b, for an online price of $550. Or the so called 24/7 Pro for $450

So what do we got? My top three first. Are the prices all really $550?

    -Glock 17, $550
    -Springfield XD Tactical 5, $550
    -Beretta 92FS/M9, $550

    Then randomly;

    -Ruger P, $400
    -Ruger SR, $600
    -Taurus 100b, $550
    -Taurus 24/7 Pro, $450

This is online prices, if anyone has any spesific California store prices, feel free to let me know, as that will help me in my decsion.

    Thanks.

On your list, my first choice would be the Beretta 92FS/M9. It is on my short list of future purchases.

If you are shopping online, I would also consider looking at factory reconditioned Sigs. My Personal favirite is the P220 in .45 ACP. I purchased mine used for $559.00 and it operates flawlessly.

I owned a Beretta 92fs. I enjoyed shooting it, but it is big and heavy and darn near impossible to conceal.

if I,m correct cali law restricts the capacity of your mags to 10 rounds so an sr9 is out of the question, and i have a springfield XD that has a sticker on the carry case that says not legal in California, look into the different capacity of the weapons you want

    Springfield XD 45 acp
    Ruger SR9

I have a Beretta 92. I LOVE this gun. It shoots well, cleans easily, and eats all the ammo I stuff into it. I don't want to carry it unless it's OWB under a jacket but I will carry it that way in cooler months. I know for a fact that I can get a Beretta 92 (New in box) around $450.00 and well woth the money IMO

For concealed carry....it's an altogether different story. Isn't the XD sub 9 OK for Cali? I think that one is because it is a 10rd variation standard

For me it would be a toss up between the G17 and Beretta 92. I have owned both guns, and I ended up buying another Beretta after selling the first one and hating myself later. I would like to get another G17 in the future though. The Beretta 92FS is one of the best looking and best shooting 9mm service pistols out there IMO.

If you have any plans to carry the firearm, you also might want to look at the Glock 19. The Beretta 92 is a fine weapon but not very easy to conceal if you want to carry it.

    $600 for an SR-9?

I only paid $380 for mine (about 2 months ago).

I second or third the Glock 19... much easier to carry and conceal than a Glock 17, plus you only loose 2 rounds in the magazine, which is not an issue in CA since you can't have a full capacity magazine... plus it's still a great size for a range gun.

Another vote for the Beretta! I have the Beretta 96 and I love it. I wish I would have looked at them a LONG time ago.

Take a look at a Glock 30. One of the smallest Glocks, but .45.
