    G26 - first Glock

I had a wad of $$ just burning a hole in my pocket and this past weekend it was my local gun show. After a bit of searching I found a G26 with adjustable sights and two mags with the Pearce pinkee extenders. It was used, but after going over it, it looks like very few rounds were fired. Can't wait to take it to the range and poke holes in some paper!

About 30 min ago I just ordered a MTAC holster from Comp-Tac.....so in a couple of weeks it looks like I'll be able to do the Wally World Walk

    Great Choice . . . My Favorite

Congratulations! You are gonna love it. My Glock 26 is my favorite gun both for its concealability/reliability as well as its versatility.

Nice start, but it will not take long before it's bigger brother the Glock 19 will come calling... you can't buy just one Glock.

Thanks, I'm pretty excited. I really like how it handles so far and from what I've read it sounds like these models are pretty accurate for their size. Like I said, can't wait to take it out to the range.

LOL on the "not just one" statement. There was also a NIB G19 at the show. Found that one before the 26. A light breeze would've nocked off that fence.

Good choice. You have picked a gun that has excellent reliability and accuracy. I think you will find your new holster to be extremely comfortable as well.

Please give us a range report after you have had a chance to shoot it.

I just bought a used G26 and took it to the range this past weekend. I shot well but I had 2 failures to go into battery because of Remington UMC ammo. I guess when the bullets were pressed into the brass, they rolled an edge of the case and when the gun tried to feed it into the chamber, it wedged in there. Talk about a pain to try and clear. I wound up whacking the back of the slide on a wooden table to get it to go into battery and then fire it.

Also I carried it all day while on my Roadking and I hardly knew it was there.

Congratulations on the G26. I purchased one a little over a year ago, and just love it. I thought it would be one of those guns you carry often and shoot little, but that little pistol is a joy to shoot, and I’ve already ran over 1,000 rounds through it. A few months ago, I used it instead of the G17 for one friendly range competition.

Very good choice. Now, when it's time to move up, go up in caliber too. Get a G23.

The G26 is a nice gun, and I know that you will be happy with it. I have it, and it's currently what I use for pocket carry (I use my XD 45 for belt carry).
I also have the G19. I plan in the near future, to start using my G30 .45ACP for pocket carry, as I have been wanting to move up in caliber. I just have to get around to qualifying with it and having i added to my CCW.

Congrats on your G26. You won't be disappointed in this gun. I've had my G26 for some time now and love it.
