Anyone use the S.F.S. on their 1911s?

The allure of the 1911 is becoming too much for me

So, since I am thinking about purchasing one, I looked up Cylinder & Slide to see some of their parts and add-ons. One thing they had was the Safety Fast Shooting System (S.F.S.) that apparently is a spring system so you can carry hammer down and immediately pull it into action.

I don't really think this is a necessary part, but I did become curious: does anyone out there utilize one of these?

I prefer less complication and standard off the shelf replacement parts. I do not run that system in either of the 1911's or the Hi power.

If you want a 1911 with that more or less built into it, get a Para LDA.

I'll take and carry mine as originally designed. SA cocked & locked, 5" barrel, thumb and grip safety thank you. Why screw up a reliable design?

Have a friend who's been running it on his carry gun for several years, never a hitch and thousands of rounds. He likes it!

I find it interesting but unneeded so I pass myself.

I considered putting one on a Colt New Agent so that I could make it a true pocket pistol. After seeing it in person, I wasn't impressed. It is made of plastic.

Really, look at the design of the para LDA hammer system and the SFS system - they're very very close. Only difference is a short crisp single action vs. a longer travel with a crisp action.
