I have 2 HK's(P2000 and P2000SK) and 1 Sig(P220). The Sig was the first handgun I ever bought so it has a special place in my heart. I have never found a Sig that I didn't like. I love the LEM trigger on my HK's and I conceal them better. So with that being said I don't think you can go wrong either way. They are both pricey in my eyes.

My leanings of your choices would be Sig, but I would not discount the extra looks at a Glock-19...I'm just sayin'...

If the Navy Seals are using them it's good enough for me. Try shooting the P226 and the P228 I shot both and I have to say I'm more accurate with the P226. I think the slightly heavier barrel helps with accuracy because it doesn't kick as high as you fire.

I would go for the Sig 228.I have one and it is my favorite 9mm.As for a 45 I like the full size USP-45. But get the Sig it will be a great carry gun for you.
I always carry two guns daily.

HK by far. Just do the poll on the Sig. forum itself and the HK or even Glock would be the clear choice. Sig is not what it once was as far as Quality Control. I do hope it can become a quality and "reliable'' gun like the name once carried.

I went to the LGS a while back with the intent of getting a Sig 226.
But when I actually held it, it was way too blocky in my hand, and was heavy and even more front heavy. Long reach to the trigger.
The wise salesman asked me to try the H&K P-30. It was like it was made for my hand. Even without changing the grip panels, I knew it was for me.
I bought one. It may be the finest firearm I own as far as quality.
I still want to try a Sig, but I'm looking at the P-225 now, single stack. So far, I can't find one to hold.

Both are good, edge to Sigs
I have two H&Ks and 5 Sigs, and think highly of both brands. But I personally have a slight favoritism for the Sigs, especially the models P220 and P229. I think the Sigs have the best feeling triggers and they are slightly more accurate for me. I also tend to favor metal guns over polymer.

This thread has been a major surprise in that it's still open! haha... It's stayed pretty civil at this point haha.... By the way, how in the heck did Glock make it in the conversation? Oh and I vote Sig.
The Ruger MKIII 22/45 is the worst handgun in history to take apart, but is one of the funnest to shoot...

The P 30 ergos are unmatched i like HK' and shot them for many years never a failure. Sigs forum has some very unhappy Sig owners especailly the newer ones. I do not want to risk so i will stay with HK, Glock or CZ's all been flawless for me.

I believe you bought the Best Production 9mm/.40 made. I'm into the USP's since they first came out but will get a P30 9mm oneday. Congrats

I have a Sig P220 and an HK USP compact. Both are great shooters, but I carry the Sig far more often than the HK; it just feels better!
