Here is a picture of my M88. My mom wants to get her CCW and she choose this over my S&W 15-3, said it fit her hand better, so I gave it to her. I guess technically it is her M88 now. Take care...Jeff

I have a Rossi .357 M971 with a 6 inch barrel. It is stainless steel. It pretty much looks just like the one on Rossi's website. I have owned mine since 1995 and I love it!
We have 2. Both stainless, both in .357 magnum. One with a 2 inch barrel and one with a 4 inch barrel.
The 4 inch model also has an unfluted cylinder. That makes it kind of unusual and a little unique I think. Both are great guns and have never given us any problem at all.

Whats the deal with these Rossis? The one Im looking at says its made by Taurus. Looks like TN Mikes says Interarms...

This is the 38sp I've owned for 30yrs.

Taurus bought Rossi a little while back. They are now in charge but Rossi retained its right to make Rossi guns just under the Taurus name as Manufacturer. I also have the 4" unfluted .357 from Interarms. BTW...these guns rock for the money. I have about 3000 rounds though mine (Bought it new in 1989 for $225.00. Never and issue at all. Easy to maintain and a flawless action in DA / SA. The DA pull is VERY heavy though but the SA pull on mine is about 5lbs.
Great for the price
2A is not negotiable
Well, as I said in the snubbie thread, I bought the Rossi.
Its nice and I cant wait to shoot it. Man, now I need yet a few more holsters. Hmmm a few speed loaders too eh? LOL
My phone sucks for pics. Im gonna have one of the guys take pics from their phone.
Actually it looks just like the second pic in TN Mikes post.

I own a Rossi 971 and have found it to be generally just as accurate as my S&W, Colt and Ruger revolvers. Its not as smooth or as well finished as my Smiths but it has been a very reliable revolver for me. Nothing really bad I can say about it, especially for what I paid for it.

When I leave the home port:
S&W 642 Airweight, Ruger SP 101, Colt Detective Spec., CZ RAMI, Kahr PM9, Kahr CW40, S&W Model 10-7, Glock 30, 19, and 26, Browning Hi Power, CZ82, Colt Commander, Dan Wesson PM7, Ruger LCP
Rossi's are made on old smith patterns, like...K frames I think? I recently took our Rossi to the shop to see if anything could be done to the trigger, Gunsmith put a Smith and Wesson spring kit in it and said they were exactly the same inside. Trigger feels a lot better now.
Here is one variant of the M971. I have owned this one for about 14 years. Pre-Taurus days I think.. it is an Interarms import marked one. It is simply marked M971 for model.
It is well finished, tight and smooth and has fired many a round
And yea... it is ventilated rib and it is ported.
Sorry about the picture quality as I had never taken a picture of it before and just had to pop it on the counter and take one with out flash to show you it.

I picked this one, Model 971, up at a gun show in October '06 for $85 (IIRC). It shoots well and there is very little play in the cylinder. The outside is not perfect, but the bore is perfect. The nicks and dings give it character.

Id like to know what holster you guys are carrying the Rossi in. Pocket carry? OWB?
No one lists a holster for the Rossi 462.
