Hey guy and Gals I'm new to the forum and would like to know if any one has a EAA Witness Match. I saw one in the gun shop on Friday and its a good looking pistol.

I googled it and found EAA website. Never heard of EAA, but the pistols are attractive. You learn something everyday.

Look on there home page for EAA the Match is a porformance center gun made for the common person. good gun at a affordable price.

I don't have one but a couple of weeks ago, a shooting buddy bought one in 10mm and likes it so much that today he ordered one in 40 S&W. Personally, I don't care much for the looks of the gun but he says it is a shooter and extremely accurate. I haven't shot it but have dry fired it and it has a very nice trigger (single action only). It was difficult to disassemble. He brought it to me as he couldn't get the slide off and wasn't sure if he was doing something wrong. We finally had to tap the back of the slide with a mallet to get it off. There is a very tight spot that won't wear down with shooting as it's only in contact when the slide moves past it's normal furthest forward position. This is a minor inconvenience on an otherwise well put together pistol but I do think it reflects a bit of the price point for what they refer to as a "custom shop" gun. (in other words, very low price for a custom shop pistol) From EAA's web site:

I have the Limited Edition Brian Enos Witness in .45. Outshoots my Les Baer, is a 10 round wonder gun. It is the one gun that I have that Rhome lusts after most. Very easy to disassemble, and you can change barrels to other calibers quite easily. You got a great buy! Enjoy!

I bought a Witness .45 ACP with the Tanfoglio "Wonder Finish" late last year as my first gun. My 'gun guy' friends were all jealous of me after I let them shoot it. Very similar to the CZ line but much cheaper.
They're made by Tanfoglio in Italy as a CZ clone, then imported and distributed in the US by EAA. I've also dealt with EAA since to get extra mags and their customer service is good, too.

I have a 10mm Elite Match.
Of the three 10mm's I've owned (S&W 1006, Witness, Elite Match), it is by far the best. Accurate, a sweet SAO trigger, fairly light shooting, even with warm 10mm loads.
I bought an XDm at about the same time; the XDm is a wannabe match pistol, the Elite Match is a match pistol--for less money, as well.

EAA makes alot of nice CV75 "clones." Usually have nice triggers, a little bulky..
