I try to have two of each gun. That way if one has to go to the manufacturer I still have a spare.

I have two S&W model 19s with 2.5 inch barrel, and two Colt Gold Cup .45s with similar modifications. They differ only in finish and grip appearance. When you find a model you really like, why not have two of them?

NOT yet! Was thinking about this subject recently. Right now, I have 2 "Big Brother/Little Brother"combos...Glock 19 and 26 along with Colt Gov't Series 70 and a Colt Officer's Model. I would like to get another G19 and keep it stashed. My next Colt(hopefully)will be an AR-15 either an LE6940 or 6920 or if they market the new gas-piston AR(Colt APC)one of those. SORRY...I realize this is a handgun thread. Thanks!!

I have two High Powers in 40.
One is blue and the one I carry daily is Hard Chrome with a blue slide. That's as close to "exact" as I can get.
I also have two GP100's but there again they are different. One is a 3" with Fixed Sights and the other is a 4" with Adjustable Sights.

Wait a minute!
Stop the presses and Katie bar the door. I just checked, I do have two of the exact same gun. I have two Ruger New Vaqueros in .357 Magnum that are the exact same gun. They are identical except for serial number. They are for Cowboy Action Shooting though and not self defense.

Two S&W Highway Patrolman 6" barrel (.357); one made in ~1975 and the other one in ~1985. Big difference in quality !
