Yes I carry round chambered. IMO would be to slow in a stress situation to try and chamber a round.

I always carry my G26 with one in the chamber. I have total confidence in the 3 internal safety's built into my glock. The only time the safety's are off when my finger is on the trigger.

Without a round in the chamber you may or may not have time to pull your slide back if a semi-auto handgun. A few mere seconds may make the difference between you surviving a confrontation with a BG.

I always have one in the chamber!

I didn't realize we were allowed to carry without one IN the chamber.

    Simple answer...ALWAYS!

If there's not one in the chamber, you're not carrying... you're transporting...

Only one of my possible carry guns is a bottom feeder, but yes one in the pipe, always. My three revolvers all have full cylinders, is there any other way?

If you ever have to draw you're weapon in a self defense situation... do you really think you are going to have time to chamber a round?

I ALWAYS carry with one in the chamber. Picture fighting off a BG with your support hand and drawing with ONE hand and trying to shoot. Yes it can be done if you rack your slide on your belt utilizing your rear sight (assuming it is notched), but do you really want to do that when you need to fire?

It is better to have your gun and not need it, than to need it and not have it!

I think all of us are going to give you the same answer. If your going to carry a pistol, carry with one in the chamber.

It would make for an interesting scene if,

"Hold on Mr. Bad Guy, I have to pull out my sidearm, then chamber a round from the magazine so I can shoot you!"

I have yet to hear of a bad guy that will stand there and wait for you to shoot him, so yes I always carry one in the chamber.
