    Next?

I had mentioned in another post my short list. Trying to decide what will be next. Handguns are what I am looking at right now. Already have long arms covered at the moment. Looking at a Glock 23, Glock 27, or a SIG 229 DAK. Thoughts?

Can't go wrong with any of your choices, but I'm a SIG fan after owning a 228 for the last 7 years without ANY malfunctions in over 30K rounds. Also think the SIG will retain it's value better.

    30 thousand rounds???

Wow, what a coincidence, that's just about the break-in period for my Glock.
    I couldn't resist.

Well, I'm probably not going to be much help here, but......the G23 would be next on my list since I got my G19 and love it so much. Already have a G27 and it was my primary until the G19 arrived and sort of took over the top spot. SIG? Well, I love my SIG P220 SAO also, but it's a full size.....I just sort of went for it on my G30 trade off, and if all of the SIG pistols are like the one I have, then you can't go wrong with that either, and if I did have a sub-.45 caliber in a SIG pistol, the DAK would more than likely be the one I'd go for since I feel it would be similar to my all-too-familiar Glocks. As state previously, figure you couldn't go wrong with any of your choices. Just one thing....the G27 is nice, but I still say it's not the perfect pistol for a novice to Glocks, or the sub-compacts. However....that may turn out very well for you as it did for me. If cost makes a difference for you, I'd almost bet the G23 comes out better on price depending. Good luck in your quest, and keep us posted.

    SIG > Glock (IMHO)

    Thats just wrong.

I don't think you will go wrong with any of those three.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

All good choices but I would go with the G23 and spend the difference in price between it and the SIG on ammo, spare mags, and a good holster.

I like the G23...as it is what I carry. LOL but the 27 is good for modularity of magazines. Overall I would have to recommend the 23.

Cant speak for the SIG, but I have Glocks and the G23 is the bomb. Ive carried both the 23 and 27 and always seem to be reaching for the 23. It weighs about the same and you get more rounds and a better fit in my hand than the 27. The 27 may conceal a tiny bit better, but not by much as its only a inch larger. BUT, there both Glocks so you win either way.

Depends on what you already have. Glocks are my defensive handgun of preference, but I'm no brand snob. Of the 3 choices, I think any of them would be a good one. Sounds like you've done your research.

Thats funny Sir! Thought you wrote 30K was the Melt-In period for your Glock.

    I suggest a G19. From your list, I vote for the G23.
