Easy----You NEED a Kahr PM380, it's the only catagory you do not have covered.

Let us know how it works

+1 on ANY 1911 I say. No collection is complete without one. I'm saving for mine now.

Hummm... the list could be VERY long!

Practically speaking though, every CCWer should have at least one J Frame pocket gun!
    ALWAYS carry! - NEVER tell!

Casting my vote for the J-Frame as well....
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

I gotta go with an AK, too... unless that is covered in your "hunting rifles" section...

So, tell me, what gun do I need that I don't, right now, know that I need?
First off you look settled into 9mm. If you want to add a functional EDC to the mix then smaller and lighter is one way to go. I too think lightweight J-frames have a nice organic shape that conceal well. Perhaps a Kahr PM-9 for deep cover. Or maybe, you simply don't need anything right now.

    Foul!!!

You definitely need a 1911, an AR and a large bore revolver.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm reading them and waiting for a lightbulb to go on. Feedback:

Budget: Up to $1,000, but don't tell SWMBO.

J frame: Doesn't do a lot for me, I carry my P7 deep concealed in a SmartCarry, don't care for pocket carry.

AR: Lots of fun to shoot but that gets spendy if you get carried away, I'm not overly worried about zombie hordes, and I have a 7mm-08 for a lighter caliber hunting rifle.

Glock: Will never happen, just plain don't like 'em.

Hunting pistol: Already covered with an Old Model Blackhawk with handloaded 300 grain JSP's.

1911: Intriguing, but was not impressed with their accuracy in the military and don't see one for EDC.

"Or maybe, you simply don't need anything right now.": Wait a minute, SWMBO, is that you???

"Step way out and get a Desert Eagle in .50ae caliber. And get it in one of those flashy finishes.": You are evil, sir. I like it.

I went and looked on GunBroker - I couldn't find one in brushed or matte stainless, plus its over my budget, plus I'd probably have to buy even more sofas.

Here are two somewhat more practical nominees:

    1. An HK USPc in .40 that would match my duty weapon and enable me to get in more practice.

    2. An 1861 Springfield reproduction because we went to a Civil War battle reenactment recently and they look like fun.

    or.....the Desert Eagle.....in 50AE......must....stay sane and resist.....
