its a soft shooter for the weight and size. I never have any problems until I get 150 or so rounds thru it. It likes to be clean, so anywhere after 100-150 rounds at one range visit and you will get the occasional FTF. Other than that, keep it clean and its not a bad gun. Im not crazy about the trigger. I bought it because a wanted a compact striker fired with a safety, but the safety tends to slow me down on draw since it doesnt have much area on the thumb safety like a 1911. Im thinking about getting a glock36 since I dont carry the 745 much. The grip is really thin on the 745 since a single stack. Check out the pt145 if you havnt already. It will probably be my last Taurus since you can get much better quality for an extra 150 to $200. Just my 2 cents. good luck
Be careful what you wish for. You just might get it ......

I have the 745... runs like a watch so far...

Lightweight, easily stashable, bargain priced, and it's a .45 so its' got some thump... what's not to like...?

I don't have one, but I did rent one at the range when I was looking for a carry weapon. The recoil is pretty light considering the size of the gun and the caliber. I put 50 rounds through the rental with no problems. I know that isn't a big test, but it was a rental gun and one of the few I haven't had problems with.

I have had a 745 for about 3 and a half years. It's my carry gun. It's easy to carry and shoot. I did have to return it once for repair. It completely locked up and I couldn't even rack the slide. No problems since then
