Pic Request: Sig P220 and Springfield XD

Does anyone have both a Springfield XD Service or Tactical & a Sig P220 they can take a picture of side by side?

My local gun shop NEVER has any Sigs in and I want to get an idea of how big it is compared to something I already own before I buy one online and have it shipped.

    Thanks a million!!!

Would a P226 and XD 4" work for you? I can post later this evening.

I know its not a p220, but they are very close in size and appearance.

The 220 will be thinner than the 226 in the grip but otherwise they will be very similar.

Another question for you might be which 220? There are 3 models a "normal" 220, a compact, and a carry.

I would get the carry model. I was reading an article on the Sig 220 and the compact is actually longer in total length than the carry, due to its beaver tail.

This is true, and my p226 is a little thicker in the grip than my XD, both in .40s&w.

Just buy the standard P220 with or with out the rail and you will not regret it.

You will never regret getting a Sig!

Be careful though, they are like potato chips...you can't just have one!

I've never heard of anyone buying a Sig P220 and regretting it later, it just doesn't happen. I don't have an XD (and never will), but here are pics of my P220R.

Best bet is to get the carry model.

Thanks for the pictures and everyones input. I think I am leaning towards the P220 Stainless Elite. I'll post some pics when I do.
