    Taurus PT 140

    Hi All,

Quick Question, I have the subject weapon which tells me to pull the pin, with the barrel back, let loose of the barrel slowley with the trigger pulled back, and the barrel will let loose so I can clean it. It doesn't work! I've tried everything I can think of to release the barrel, to no avail. Please help!!!

    clove03,
I have the PT145 and I just performed this procedure. I cleared the weapon, locked the slide back, rotated the pin, pulled pin out, released slide then pulled the trigger and the slide came right off.
    Good luck.

I actually pull the trigger and give the slide a little tug and it pops off. Its secnd nature now, but seemed weird learning it.

Putting it back together you have to contort your hand to keep the barrel in place while you are sliding it back to put the pin back in.

I'm assuming that when the OP says "barrel," he means to say "slide assembly?"

Otherwise, I was having I tough time following as well...

I wish I could help - I ditched my PT-140 a long time ago (for very valid reasons, in my case), and I forget how I managed to disassemble it...

Good luck w/ it though... I'm sure the DC community will steer you straight.
