Took the wife and my new to me Detonics Combat Master along with the RIA and the P11 for some range time today. Went to pick up the Detonics from the dealer and he actually had some 9mm for the P11! I've been needing to test it since I fixed the trigger pull (it was too light to fire the primers). It was also my first time shooting my very own reloads!
First of all the P11 shot flawlessly. Still has a lightened trigger pull, but now is 100% reliable. Had a couple of problems with my reloads for the .45's. Had 3 rounds out of the 200 I shot fail to chamber. The case was too fat for the barrel, I guess a bad resize or maybe a bad crimp. Other than that both 1911's ate every reload I fed them, Gold Dots, TCJ, and LRN. No lead in either barrel after shooting. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary power wise, I assume they all had an ok powder charge. The reloads did seem a little more dirty than my normal Blazer Brass, but maybe it's because it's been so long since I've been able to find any and I've just forgot.
All in all a great day, even got the wife to shoot a little (she loves the 1911's ).
Here's a pic for you folks that like pics (notice the Detonics is only slightly bigger than the P11, I love my new gun )
