    Money to Spend

I have ~$900 to spend on a new carry weapon. I currently carry a 4" XD in .45 ACP. I am looking for a Sub/Ultra Compact that would be good for summer carry. Sorry guys, but I am NOT a Glock fan and I prefer .40 and .45 caliber, but for the right weapon would consider 9mm. I would really like some suggestions as to what to spend my money on.

Revo, 340 M&P or PD...Auto would be a Springfield EMP or Micro, Or a Kahr P9. I also would not be opposed to recommending a Sig 239.

lol well the 4 inch XD is not a subcompact/ultraslim weapon by any means. It's considered a service model. I carry the XD9 Service (4inch), I don't have a problem concealing it. Then again, I Open Carry 98% of the time so thats not a concern for me.

ETA: With the right holster you can conceal anything. I have a kholster IWB tuckable holster and nobody knows I'm carrying with just shorts and a t-shirt on.

$900 would buy you a nice Sig P239.

Don't you just love shopping for a new gun?

A Kahr PM9 with the hi-cap mag for a better grip. You'll forget it's there.

I was looking at the Beretta Px4 .40 subcompact and the SIG P250 when it comes out.

Keep them coming. These are some really good suggestions. Some of them I had not considered or thought about until suggestions were made here. I am going to go place my hands on some of the potentials today if I can find some to hold. I won't purchase today as I am not an impulse buy kind of guy and I like to look and research my purchases as well as take a test drive at a range when I can.

Since you already have an XD45 and are familiar with the manual of arms for that particular weapon, why not an XD40 or XD9 Subcompact?

You might even be able to find a lightly used Springfield EMP, but any Springfield 1911 is hard to find these days. I think H&K and Sig also fall within your budget. There are tons of options for 900 dollars so choose your weapon!

The XD sub-compact is what I was going to suggest, or you could get a S&W j frame in .357 magnum.

If I had 900 to spend right now, I'd be getting a HK 45c. That's not what you're looking for though. The P239 is a great cc weapon. but it's more of a compact as opposed to a sub-compact. Given your parameters, I'd suggest something like a Kahr K40 or MK40 - cause the P models are too light IMO.

    Look into the S&W M&P9c
Its a great gun and I think they make it in .40 as well.
It has interchangeable back straps and a stainless steel
    blackened slide
size wise its between a compact and a subcompact.
