My dealer traded even up for my 642. His loss in my opinion. I now enjoy shooting a compact snubby. No longer need to reload reduced load 38's just to tolerate shooting it. I have a feeling that Ruger really has a hit on their hands.
Just out of curiosity, what did you pay for the LCR? I am looking at the possibility of getting one.

I paid $650 for mine and it has the Crimson Laser grips on it.

I got my hands on one today, crimson trace model. Extremely lightweight and I agree that dryfiring it a couple of times, the trigger felt smooth. At $729 and change, it stayed at the store!

I'll wait a year or so to let Ruger get the kinks worked out first, as Momma didn't raise me to be nobody's Beta Tester.

My wife got an LCR with the laser for about $649 + shipping from GunBroker.com
She likes it a lot better than the 642/442. I took it for a spin at the range and using the laser, rapid fire, it hit on point every shot at 10 yards. I like it. I reccomend it. Just make sure to get the laser.

Why do you say that? Does it kick less than the S&W?
