Buddy just bought a Kel-tec P-40, I am aware the p-11 takes high cap SW 59xx series magazines. Will the p-40 take high cap SW 40xx magazines???

Good question, the p-11 does indeed take the SW mags but they are a snug fit and would take some break-in, I did not know KT still made the 40... nor do I know if it takes the SW mags.
They do not still make the 40...my buddy got one of of Gunbroker...like new with NS and a Chrome slide for 350. Just wonderimg.

Love the P-40,
I suggest P-40 mags from Kel-Tec with the +1 finger extension and wolff +10 springs. The P-40 and 11 will accept both the 5xxx (full size) and the 4xxx (compact) S&W mags in correct caliber, the 4xxx fits 'flush' as it's a compact frame. You definitely need the +10 wolff springs on the S&W mags for them to feed reliably, as the smith pistols cycle slower than the KT's. Hold on when you shoot that thing. :image035:
Get some epsom salts to soak your hand. I got one some years back and it is a handful.
Thanks for the warning guys...but it is not my gun. I will stay with my G23 in .40. It is a coworker/friends recent acquisition. He is aware it will be a handful he has read little about it. LOL But he is a little older than me and has shot/carried a lightweight .357 snubbie...so recoil is no stranger to him.
