I always like reviewing this pdf to remind myself just how skimpy my grip and control is on my subs'.

The number that stands out to me is the weight. The MDE is 33% heavier than the Seecamp.
I am getting lower weights on my postal scale with my MDE... 12oz unloaded and 16oz loaded 6+1 w/ 102gr Golden Saber. That's with the walnut grips, not original. Anyone else have a scale that can weigh theirs?

I've not fired an MDE, but for the several I handled at gun shows, it seemed clear to me that if I shot that pistol, at least I would be wounded, from the slide bite. There's just not enough room there for the web of my hand. I don't have that problem with my buddy's seecamp.
Seecamp is hard to beat for what it is designed for.

First let me admit I'm a dedicated Seecamp fan... I have both the LWS32 and LWS380, and my wife has her own LWS32.
Having said that, I'm always interested in new firearms so when I saw a new MDE in my local gunshop I took the opportunity to give it a good once over, and the gun dealer even allowed me to take out my LWS380 (which I cc daily) to compare the two directly.
For me, I saw nothing to convince me to leave the Seecamp fold, but I needed to see for myself. The MDE looks to be a very nice pistol, but I'm sticking with what I have, and what I know works.
I would suggest any gun buyer who had never had the personal experience of examining the qualities of the Seecamp pistol vs the MDE directly would come away with a very good impression of the new MDE.
In fact I came away with a good impression of the MDE.. But then I always have a SUPER impression of the Seecamps I already own and love.
Just nice to have a variety available and you can pick and chose for yourself, and what works for me might not necessarily be right for someone else.
No offense to NDE lovers...
P.S. Hey, I TOLD you up front I was prejudiced in favor of the Seecamp.
For me, the MDE is too blocky and the trigger isnt so good, but only my opinion.
