    Kahr Guide rod?

Question for ya all. I have a Kahr MK9 for summer carry, besides the fact that its 9mm and not something a bit larger I lOVE THIS GUN!! I haven't experenced problems like so many other Kahr owners have thankfully. Anyway my question is for any other Kahr owners that know anything about switching the factory guide rod for the stainless steel one. Any problems with doing this. I heard you may have to shorten the SS rod and file down some edges, If this is the case I think im gonna pass.

I agree with Bud but one would think that a replacement part should fit just like the original being as though its made by the same company for the same model gun.

You would think wouldn't you. But I thought I heard otherwise..... I agree as well, with what he said but I just feel better if a SS rod is there instead of a plastic one!

    BigE410,

I don't trust the plastic on my Kahr Mk9, so I replaced it with the set-up from Wolff:

    http://www.gunsprings.com/SemiAuto/KahrNF.html#K9

It was a drop in change and required no fitting. I did a bit of research first and the Wolff system was recommended over the Kahr factory part. It works fine.

Kahr's website states that you may have to make some minor adjustments.
    I'm married to my Kahr.
