    Top ten????

OK I watched American rifleman on WED Night at the Range last night. They are doing a special on the TOP TEN HANDGUNS of all time...Browning HP, Mauser Broom Handle, Smith an Wesson Registered Magnum.....XD 45, WHOAXD 45????
WTH?!?! I am sorry the XD 45 is a fine handgun in many respects, not personally for me, or others (SIXTO), but come on TOP TEN?????? Anybody else see this?

I've started watching that episode and they've only gotten to #5 so far, the 1911 is sure to be appearing later in the countdown rather than sooner. I would think anyway.

What about the S&W snubbie, Colt detective or 638 bodyguard? I hope they put the 1911 in there.

*** how are the others ahead of the 1911? I do like the HP, but I like the 1911 better. As a matter of a fact so much better it is ridding on my hip as I type this.

1911 - No need to say more. Saved my Father's hide in Nam.

When I save up enough money, I will get a nice Ed Brown or Nighthawk.
I do really like the Dan Wesson CBOBs. They are well priced.

    xd 45

I just watched that show and the xd 45 was part of their gun review. The other gun was the Colt SAA. Opps forgot also the walther pp series(pp, ppk and ppks?).

I would HAVE to think Glock would be on the list!

On Ultimate Weapons, they were doing a show on the ultimate CQB weapon. The Magpul FMG-9 (glock in a stock that folds into a box) made the top 5. Also, some other gun that isn't combat proven yet was number one. It had a bolt that rotates down to help fight recoil, and I think it shot 45 ACP. Goes through a whole 20 round mag in a second. Both of these surprised me...I would not have put them up that high on the list over combat proven systems.

That's the reason I don't watch any "best ever" shows.

I like the best ever shows. I keep an open mind on the guns and their rankings. I like them mainly though because they give some nice information on the guns on the list.

They were going 10 to 1, go thru the first(last 5) I am sure the 1911 and maybe the Glock will be in there 1-5....
