H&K P7 if you can find one. One of the best single stack guns made. They are expensive.

I have a walther PPS... let me refer you to an old thread about this little beast in disguise! I've dropped it on my cement floor in my garage once and I always leave one in the pipe period. It did not go off so I am confident in it's safe engineering as well. Tough little polymer, didnt even crack or scratch hardly.

Not a whole lot of options currently in production, but two older guns worth consideration are the Astra A-75's and Star Firestar and Ultrastar. Another option is the S&W CS40.

I love my PPS's. They are first rate weapons. I carry one nearly every day.

    I have a S&W 4013. Very compact and dependable. I don't know if it's still in production.

My EDC has been a Kahr PM40 for the past 2 yrs. Never a problem with it other than finding ammo. It is a handful at the range.

I have a single stack S&W 4013. If you can find one I highly recommed it. Its no longer made in that version but well worth the search.

    I have a Sig 239 in 40 cal.
positives: very accurate, very thin and concealable, very reliable. i also like the de-cocker feature.

negatives: on the expensive side, heavier than most polymer guns, 7 round capacity.

Too light for heavy work, too heavy for light work!
