SR9 or XD45???
Im in a bind, if your could only keep one of the two guns listed which would it be? I have both the SR9 and the XD 45 tactical, but can only keep one at the moment. The gun I keep will be for keeping my family safe at home as well as CC when I'm around town. Thanks guys

Keep the one you like the best, and can shoot the best.

I like my xd 45. i don't have an sr9 yet but i love all of my rugers. If you were on a budget and aren't reloading i'd go w/ the 9mm just b/c of cheaper ammo don't know about your area but Wally world sells 100rnds of 9mm ww for $20 and the ww .45 for $30ish.
barring the budget and the 4 rnds difference in capacity keep the one you are most likely to practice with more/ the one you shoot better. If you carry keep the one that you carry more often b/c it is more comfortable or whatever reason you have for carrying one more than the other. reliability shouldn't be an issue with either one so that knocks down one more hurdle

Keep the XD. The SR9 trigger is horrible.

Too bad you have to get rid of one of them. I'd keep the XD 45. If you get rid of the XD, you'll have to change your user name on this forum. :)

If this is primarily for home defense, stick with the xd. I personally don't like the xd but that is a personal issue. I do have a SR9 and I know that for home defense I wand either a shotgun or a .45 (GLOCK 21 is my choice).
The only reason I might hang on to the 9mm is if you intended to carry it a lot.
Good luck and I'm sorry you have to make a choice.

That SR9 is the only pistol that I know of that has a worse trigger thana Sigma.

My preference between the two is the XC. I love mine. I don't have the other, but I have a Beretta and 3 Glocks, and my XD is my favorite.

I would say the XD, in part because you have it listed in your profile, from which I conclude that you have had more practice / are more familiar with it.
