    Celebrate July 4th - With a new Glock 36

Yep, I bought Glock #2, a 36. There has not been a .45 in armory for many years.

Went to the range this morning and ran 150 rounds thru it. About all my pinkie finger could take. First impressions - light, small, reliable. Twice the slide failed to lock back on the last round. Problem seemed to go away. Pinches/rubs the pinkie finger a bit. Accuracy was average - some of result is my lack of recent practice with the .45.

Several of the shot strings were nicely grouped, but I must admit there were more than a few flyers.

I'm still not a big fan of the chunky Glock grips, but, my aging eyes have come to appreciate those awesome Glock sights. Sights I can actually see.

Anyway, this little guy is compact enough I might occassionally carry in the winter, maybe. I really like my snubbie, but who knows. I would definitely want the heavier NY1 trigger on it for carry though. Just a personal preference thing.

    Happy 4th of July!

    Congratulations, enjoy!

If I had the money I'd definitely have gone out today and bought a G29

Congrats on the new Glock-36...I have one and love it.
You'll find it easy to conceal and the grip beats all the other 'Blocks'...errrrr, Glocks.

Pearce extensions will stop the infamous "pinkie bite". The 36 is a nice little carry piece. I am sure you will love it.

Congrats!! One of my personal favorites. Very reliable and feels good (if any gun does) against the skin during the summer. Ambidexterous safety's on 1911's feel terrible against the skin on a hot summer day. In the winter, not a big deal either way since I tend to carry a G32 (357SIG) in the winter to punch through winter clothes, if necessary.

Congrats on the new addition! Purchased one last November, my first Glock and .45acp. After running about two hundred rounds through it, I bought the Pearce +0 grip extensions. It really helped on improved accuracy and stopped the pinky rub/ bite. Mine is my EDC in a Don Hume IWB holster.

I just ordered the NY1 trigger spring, punch, and a video. Hopefully they will come in before the weekend. Can't wait to play!
