I saw one at my gun shop in Florida, LOVED the trigger in comparison to my LCP...BUT for $600....I just cannot make up my mind.....almost thought about selling my LCP in the $400 range and pony-ing up the xtr $200, but thoughts why, so I am in the middle.....PLUS I have a PM9 and although I like it a lot, it has had some quirky issues and my LCP has been FLAWLESS....so that is what is driving me now...if it were a $100 or $75 difference I would try it.
I thought the same as you, and just decided to keep my LCP. If I were to spend that much on a Kahr it would be either a 9mm or even a .40 caliber model.
The Kahr P380 looks like a really nice pistol. It's got a better trigger pull, sights, etc.. than my LCP but it's still just a .380. I agree with the posts above, for the money I will keep my LCP which has been completely reliable.
I would wait at least a year to ensure they get the bugs out, especially being a small pistol. Smaller pistols have tighter tolerances, and tend to be more "buggy" than their larger cousins.
Ignore my advice at your own peril!:ticking: (sorry, I've been trying to find a reason to use that one!:hand5

I have one, compared to a kel-tec, there is no comparison. I have ran 150 rounds of blazer (all I could get) through it, 3 problems. Accuracy exceeded what I was expecting.
I have owned both handguns. The P380 is a superior weapon to the LCP and carries a more sizable price tag. As for availability, I've seen two more in the Tulsa, OK area. One was at Dong's and the other at Sportsworld. All you have to do is get on the waiting list at your LGS and wait your turn. It often takes less time than you might expect as many people get on multiple waiting lists or decide not to purchase the handgun for whatever reason.
I just got a P380 and shot 50 rounds of Blazer Brass without a huccup. It was surprisingly accurate for such a small pistol. I have owned a Seecamp 380 and sold it because of poor reliability with anything but it's favorite feed. The Seecamp would not have done so well.
There doesnt seem to be that much difference in size. I think I will just be happy with my PM9.....and my LCP
