    Bought a Ruger GP100 4"

Just left a deposit for it today. $350 used in nearly perfect condition. When I put it beside the brand new one they had I could hardly tell the difference in condition. I was hoping to find it in 3" or an SP101 with a short barrel. But I think I'll be happy with the 4". Not sure if I'll be carrying it (at least not during the summer). I cant wait to pick it up!

jbone, think you will like your GP100. Had mine for little more than a year. One great thing about it - if you run out of ammo it will make one heck of a club.:)

Well, the price was right too, very right. I am always looking for a gun deal and I think you found one for that price. I had a Taurus 4" (627 I think was the model number) and I sold it for $450.......wouldn't think you could find a Ruger for what you paid for it.

    no kidding, that Ruger's prob. a $450-500 piece, $350 was a steal.

Congradulations! I bought my 3 in barrel stainless steel GP100 months ago and it is one of the most accuarate guns I have. Plus your deal was good, I had to shell out $500 on mine new. But its fine, I love the revolver, no problem with the heavy duty frame shooting hot loads of .357!

Now I just need to find a couple of different holster configurations for it.

The FIST #14 is what I like for carrying my GP concealed. I like the Bianchi Cyclone for field carry with this gun.

I've been happy with the Summer Special II by Milt Sparks for 4" N-Frames and 3" GP100's. If IWB is not your thing Kramer makes some good OWB Holsters too.
