    The Beginning.....

Just picked up this 1911. Took it home, disassembled, cleaned, and oiled it, and started looking for all the things I will now be able to spend money on. Boy, this is going to be a ride!

    Nice pistola!

It's an expensive journey, but do enjoy the trip.

Made in Philippines, by Metro Arms, called the American Classic. Fit and finish are excellent. It has extended slide release and safety. The first thing will be grips, then night sights, mag well treatment, leather, and on and on and on.....

My username is quite a story. The original name I picked for this forum evidently did not meet the standards set. I use it everywhere else with no problem, but the moderators here suggested I change it. So I did.

I think I got all the questions covered.

I'll post pics as the project progresses.

    Good looking pistol, congratulations.

Interesting they rollmarked the slide with a Colt legend.

    Congrats.
Suggestion: If you are going to carry it then buy another high quality magazine with a flat steel welded on base plate and carry your 1911 with that one in your pistol.
That way you can knock some length off the butt making your pistol print less....and just use that mag with the slam pad as your spare carry mag.

Nice gun! Can't imagine what you'd have to spend money on except ammo, more mags, and good leather. That's just a real good looking weapon!
    Enjoy!

Just one of many things on the long and growing list. I'm not sure if I want to carry this one. I have others that are much easier to conceal.

Congrats, I bought the same gun about a year ago...I use wilson mags and they work great.
The gun has never given me any problems 1000+ rounds. Great buy...mine was $389 I think.
