I just went over to the darkside and bought a Glock 26

I'm a Sig aficionado and truly love my 239 and 228 but today I went one step beyond and purchased my first (?) Glock. I've been looking at them for sometime and decided on the 26 because of its size. I got it new in the box for $499.00 which I though was pretty reasonable. I have seen them for $20 - $30 more. Anyway, I think I made a good move; there must be something to what other Glock owners say about them. I'll find out at the range tomorrow.

I can get one from my local guy for 408 for the good customer discount extra 60 for NS. But you did well for retail. By the way, go ahead and give in....it a disease way worse than the SIGness. There is no cure but more Glock!!!!!

Congrats, and that's the same price I paid a month ago for my Glock 27. Hope you enjoy your 26 as much as I am my 27!

Congrats on buying the G26! You won't regret buying that at all. If I were to locate a 2nd G26 for myself & had the spare cash I'd buy a spare G26 as well. So far it's never let me down.

Congrats on a great move. I've never shot a Sig, but I've owned and shot about 10 different Glocks before finally (according to my wife) settling down and working with a G26 and G34. Both of them get extensive exercise in monthly IDPA meets at the local range and I just joined GSSF and am shooting my first meet this weekend in three divisions. My goal is to win at least one Glock at the meet and even if I don't, I got a certificate that lets me buy another G26 for about $435 after shipping and FFL fees. In the end, I'd like to have a spare and one each for my wife and kids. I think they are the best combination of size, capacity, 'feel', accuracy, and - best of all - reliability.

    You'll love it!!

Recently I purchased a G27 after resisting for over a decade. It turns out that I really like the gun a lot after shooting and carrying it. The G27 has the ability to accept .357 Sig and 9mm drop in conversion barrels which is a big plus for me. I may get another "larger" Glock in the future possibly a G23 or G19 just to quench my neurosis to own two of each brand.

Well, I went to the range yesterday and although I hate to say it, " I AM MIGHTLY IMPRESSED BY THE GLOCK 26!" I was amazed at the accuracy and the light recoil for such a small gun. I had absolutely no issues with the ammo feeding or ejecting and It was a sheer pleasure to shoot. I was also surprised at how easy the gun was to clean; it was a very simple and quick process. Now I wish I'd bought the glock 27. Maybe there's one in my future. I still love Sig and believe they are top of the line. But I am extremely pleased with the Glock and will certainly feel secure carrying it on a daily basis.
