No pics to share, but I did see some nice looking checkered Coco Bolos here: Hogue Wood Grips - Ruger - SP101

Check out Badger Grips, they are next on my list for mine.
Sorry no pics since I just ordered Monday and the backorder is supposed to arrive by OCTOBER 24, 2009. So a review including range report is impossible before Christmas. But you can see the Rosewood grips I ordered here:
MidwayUSA - Hogue Fancy Hardwood Grips with Finger Grooves Ruger SP101 Rosewood
Eagle grips Inc. makes some for the SP101. I have some of theirs on my J frames and find their grips excellant in quality. Good luck on the search for both beauty and functionality in a grip. Oh, and get a box for grips to sit next to your holster box. ;)

Not checkered, but these are from Badger.
I like them a lot.

I know you prefer wood, but, for function, the Hogue rubber grips are very hard to beat. They absorb recoil very well, and really give you something to hold on to. I often pocket carry the SP-101, and the Hogue grips are slim but rather long which makes grabbing the gun from the pocket a very easy task.
.
Too light for heavy work, too heavy for light work!

There's a guy on ebay (seller: DAJIM) selling them for around $35. I haven't tried them but they look nice.
I just posted this in another thread-
take a look at this site
http://www.snubnose.info/docs/grips.htm
Check with Gemini Customs LLC - Custom 1911 Firearms , those guys know everything about everything about the SP101.
There are only TWO kinds of people in this world; those that describe the world as filled with two kinds of people...and those who don't.
I found some replacement panels for the current grips on ebay. The wood looks like the ones ccwguy posted but just in the panels. They were pretty cheap but I haven't seen them on ebay since.

CCWGUY.. Are those the black grips or Black and Silver?
I dont see a part number for the Black and Silver but they say they have them.
Waiting for a reply from them with pic and number.
What do you guys think of the 3 finger grips instead of the 2 finger that you show above?
thanks
