Bought a new to me revovler yesterday, found a S&W model 60, been looking for on and off for a little while. Wnet by the shop yesterday to find ammo, and saw this in the case. Left to go haome and start packing for our family vacation and couldn't stop thinking about the smith. I got my S&w 342 Ti airlite out (which has been on the short list to replace) removed the pachmyr grips and installed the factory grips and went back to the shop. The Owner made me an offer I just couldn't refuse, almost fell ove infact, my airlite plus $100.00 and this little stainless beauty was mine. It rated .38 special standard pressure, which is fine as I wouldn't have put +p in it anyway. Also picked up a couple more boxes of Federal Nyclads.
First picture is the model 60 with wood stocks on , and the second is with its bug brother, my model 66-1, with matching pachmyr compact grips.

Great find. I have the same carry combo 66-1 and 60 (no dash).
You will love the gun.

Very nice indeed. I have always been an auto guy but I also recently purchased a snubby. I think more will come...

I recently bought a 20 year old model 60 myself, and agree with your good opinion of this gun.

You got a very good deal on this. Model 60's like your's are routinely going for $600 plus on the internet and it's almost impossible to find one on the shelf.
I haven't seen a decent used old S&W in my area in over a year and I go often enought that I'd see it!
I purchased a model 60 off the net not that long ago and in fact I've got it up for sale right now on this forum because I'm picking up an older model 640-1 which is the .357 enclosed hammer variant. I love the model 60 I have but really don't want to keep both.
Good find!! I love how the all stainless snubbies shoot compared to the airweights. The recoil is SO much better!
