Conversion Barrel WITH conversion Mag - any issues?

I need to know form people out there that converted form a 40 or 357 to a 9mm with a conversion barrel from pistolgear, stormlake, EFK, or Barsto and you have used a 9mm mag - DID YOU HAVE ANY FEED OR RELIABILITY ISSUES?

I posted a similar question and got some real help but in my research I found that many people who had used a conversion barrel like the ones above and had issues was becuase they were using the 40 or 357 mags and not a 9mm mag.

I would like to hear from those who tried the conversion barrel and also tried the 9mm mag, if they had feed/reliability issues. Also please let me know which brand you used and woudl like to hear about your experience.

I have both a 9mm and a .357 sig (BarSto) for my G23. For the .357 sig, all that was necessary was to change the barrel. The 9mm reqired the extractor, mag and the ejector group to be changed over (simple job). Both work fine. I also changes the striker for the 9mm but I have not noticed a difference but I would rather be on the safe side.

If you convert from 40S&W caliber to 9mm in a Glock pistol, you'll need to do more than a simple barrel swap and magazine change. The ejector needs changed as well. You can use the 40S&W magazines for 357sig, but should use 9mm magazines for 9mm. I don't know how reliable any of this is since I've never done it. 40S&W and 357sig use the same ejector.

You can not go from 9 to .357 sig or .40. But you can go from .357 sig or .40 to 9mm.

I did this for both my G-27, and G-23. At first, I had some feeding issues with the G-23, and then I actually got 9mm mags for both guns, and they work like a charm.

I have 9mm conversions by Storm Lake. I also have a .357 sig conversion for my G-23 from Lone Wolf, and I personally like the Lone Wolf better. I ponied up the extra cash (I think it was $10 more) and went with a "blind" barrel. These don't have the tacky Lone Wolf insignia on the barrel, and are stamped on the bottom side what caliber they are.

I don't have any logical reason for it but I am still nervous that somehow the conversion barrel will cause wear on the gun and affect its reliability when you switch back to the original stock barrel.
