    Kimber UC II Disappointment - Results are In

    Previously mentioned that I had a fail-to-feed issue with my new Kimber UC II. I called Kimber. They sent me a brand new slide stop.

    Went to the range finally today. I fired 100 rounds. NOT ONE JAM! To those on this web board who mentioned that all would be well with a new slide stop ----- Thank you! I am a happy camper now with my Kimber UC II.

    All mechanical 'gadgets' can have failures...and mechanical 'gadgets' can be fixed (usually)...glad you now have a smooth running Kimber.

    I have a brand new UC II (with the night sights). I've heard the stories about feeding problems with them, so I took it to the range last weekend hoping for the best. Put about 115 rounds through it (all ball ammo) and it performed flawlessly. Very accurate too. It's great to carry and I love it!

    They've known about this problem for years. I hate a company using their customers for quality control.

    AZ....You're sayin' that because you don't like the 3" gun? Kimber has had weak spring problems they haven't changed in years on the Pro models. Must be a reason.

    You're right, the spring they ship with the 4" guns is woefully lacking also, yet they keep doing it???

    Sounds like you had a problem similar to the one I had with my Ultra Raptor II. New slide stop and it'll feed anything now.

    It's has to be a legal issue...IMO. If an auto mfg. has a faulty left brake caliper, they don't change the design for the FEW that have that problem. They fix each one until it becomes a legal (liability) issue. If they change the design by their own admission admiting liability, and (legal) problems abound. By changing that SS, they admit the design was not right.
