OK, since reliability is arguably the most important consideration in a defensive handgun, I'd like to conduct a poll.
Here are the ground rules:
You must have personally owned a firearm(s) made by the manufacturer in question.
You yourself must have experienced the malfunction, if any.
Malfunctions due to dud ammo are not counted, but the inability of the gun to digest a particular type of ammo is counted as one malfunction.
Malfunctions are counted even if the manufacturer or a gunsmith later fixed the issue.
Recalls are not counted, unless you yourself experienced a functional issue related to the recall.
If you own several handguns from the same maker, just add up the total of any malfunctions you may have had.
Thanks for participating!
The number of people killed because they didn't have "enough gun" is dwarfed by those who had none at all. Get a gun you will always carry, and add more capability as you grow.

I have an XD45C and not one burp in over 600 rounds with all kinds of ammo. Nice gun!
I have an XD45 Service Model. 1500 plus rounds, Zero malfunctions.
It's a great SD pistol!
XD40 with, oh, thousands of rounds through it. The only failures have been my handloads, related to seating depth.
over a 1000 rounds through my xd 45 and not one mishap

I have shot thousands of rounds through every size XD, and I have never had a failure...never.
Current carry gun is an XD9 sub-compact.
XD45 Service. Had one fail to feed when I first got it. Was within the first 500 rounds using Federal HST ammo.
Not one failure since.

Have shot at least 1000 rounds in my XD40 and haven't had a single malfunction. Very good gun and I would recommend it to anyone!!
XD 9mm over a thousand rounds, several brands of ammunition, not a hitch.
Bought an XD45 compact and an XDM in 9mm on the same day....
We have run Wolf, Blazer, Winchester, Cor-bon, Magtech and hand loads from the range.
1350 rds in .45 - 0 malfunctions
1550 rds in 9mm - 0 malfuncitons

2584 rounds later out of a XD9 service and never problem. I use my XD for IDPA and USPSA matches, it is also one of my carry handguns.
It doen't meet the rules of the post exactly, but I have to share it. I have personally seen two compensated / ported XDs with catastrophic slide failures. Both cracked just behind the front sight, one failed to function, the other was still able to fire and the owner only brought it to me because he couldn't see the front sight anymore due to a piece of the slide sticking up. I took a pic of it and posted it and got a few pictures of the same thing from others. I would not own any ported XD. We have several standard XD rentals where I work, the 9mm compact is superbly accurate and a personal favorite. While every gun (especially rentals) gets dirty enough to jam, the standard XDs are fine pistols. The "V10"s, not so much.
