Glock 22 Gen 4, 27
Ruger SP101 .357mag
S&W 637 Airweight
Ruger Single Six
Ruger Blackhawk Bisley 45 Colt
Mossberg 835 Grand Slam
Depends on the weapon, looking at your signature you have nothing to worry about as the glock, sp101 and the j frame smith are reliable.
Current collection: Too many according to the wife...
Your comfort level may differ, thousand trouble free rounds for my M&P40c before she went into service. 80% of that was FMJ, 20% SD rounds.

IMO, the minimum acceptable round count before carry is 500, at least 100 of flawless SD ammo.
Training means learning the rules. Experience means learning the exceptions.
Miminum? 300 rounds of practice and another 50 of rounds of your SD stuff...then I would feel better carrying it. Obviously more gets fired as time goes on...
It's getting pretty expensive to prepare a SD firearm these days.![]()
"That I cannot do."
"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."

Most failures with semi autos are mag related so I put 5 loads for each mag and shoot it. I generally have 5 mags so 250 to 400 rounds before it would be come a carry gun.
Revolvers much less. 5 cylinders full with 3 different loads which helps determine which load shoots best out of your gun. So 50 to 100 rounds.

Glock, SIG or a Springfield XD... 50 rounds and I'd be comfortable with any of them.
Any others... 200-300 rounds without any issues in the last 100 rounds.
