    pics of guns question

I'm not sure if this is the right spot to ask, but since it is concerning guns themselves....

Why do most pics have a marker/chapstick/etc...near the trigger? Is it to show size comparison?

They do that to "stand them up"....

I use a wood dowel, or a shotgun shell.

I've used a screwdriver. Have seen knives, shotshells, markers, all kinds of things used to make them smile for the camera. They are very uncooperative when it comes time for their pictures.

Oh, yeah do not do this while they are loaded. I hope I didn't need to remind you of that but just in case.

I prefer this method, looks better than a pen or shotgun shell in the trigger guard.
